Dear Parents/Carers,
As you are aware, the school had a full Ofsted Inspection, earlier this term on Tuesday 11th January and Wednesday 12th January 2022. I am now able to share the report with you and the outcome of our full Section 5 Inspection. Attached to this letter is a copy of the report which can also be found on our school website.
We are extremely proud to inform you that the overall judgement is that we are, officially rated as a GOOD school.
The summary evaluation of the inspection is as follows:
Overall effectiveness Good
The quality of education Good
Behaviour and attitudes Good
Personal Development Good
Leadership and Management Good
Early Years Provision Good
The report is immensely positive and reflects the progress we have made as a school since becoming part of Cumbria Education Trust in September 2017.
We are particularly proud that our Leaders and LAB members were praised for ensuring that all pupils access an exciting and ambitious curriculum, that we motivate pupils to succeed and that our pupils’ positive attitudes to learning and high rates of attendance contribute further to their success.
As a school, and with the support of the Trust, we will endeavour to improve in those areas identified for further improvement. I know that I will have your support in the work we will be doing together to make Yanwath Primary School exceptional for all our pupils and for them to ‘be the best that they can be’.
This is a fantastic achievement for everyone in our school community and is something to be hugely proud of.
Yours sincerely,
Cate Floyd
Headteacher
