8:40am – Doors open for staggered entry. All classes have a range of morning activities happening as children arrive at school
The main school doors are open at 8:40 where there is always a member of staff on the top and bottom gate. Foundation Stage children go into school through the playground entrance.
Year 1,3,4 and 5 go through the front doors closest to their classrooms.
Year 2 and 6 go through the side door closest to their classroom.
9:00am registers close.
Phonics and spelling groups begin as the registers close, so it is vital all children are in school on time.
10:30 – 10:45am – Assembly
Throughout the week we have a range of different assemblies that children attend including singing, celebrating British Values, Demonstrating Powers of Learning, school council and celebrating good work with parents at the end of the week during our afternoon Star of the Week assembly on a Friday.
10.45am and 11:00am – Break time
Classes from Year 1 to Year 6 all enjoy a 15 minute playtime outdoors. With our extensive facilities, all children have the opportunity to play and meet with friends either on the adventure playground or main school playground. Weather permitting children will also be encouraged to use the school field.
11:45 – Lunch starts – all classes have an hour
Nursery go for lunch at 11.45am, with Reception following at 11.55am. .
KS1 and KS2 lunch starts at 12:00pm where most classes go out onto the playground and are then called in by the Midday Supervisors for their lunch.
1:00pm – Afternoon session begins
Children have different lessons including Science, French, Geography, Art, D.T, PE, Computing, R.E and PSHE.
3:10pm – Home time routine begins, with doors opening at 3.15pm-3.30pm.
All children go to their home time waiting place, directed by the staff.
Children are collected from the door they entered school through. If children are going home on the bus, or attending an After School Club they all meet in the hall and are supervised by staff.
3:30 – 4:30pm The first session of After School Club
We have a wide range of clubs available for children to attend throughout the week. The children are all dismissed though the main door at the front of school and taken to the front of school where parents are to collect.
4:30 – 5:30pm The second session of After School Club
This second session is for working parents who need extra child care provision. Children at this club get a snack and a drink while taking part in mindfulness activities including drawing, colouring, playing board games and listening to music.
