An Interview With Miss Henderson

 

How long have you worked at Yanwath?

This is my first year at Yanwath.

What are some pets you’ve had or would like to own?

I have two cats, called Tilly and Ted. I’ve also had rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and fish. I would love to own more cats!

How do you spend your summer breaks?

I spend my summer on holiday with my family, reading in the sunshine and hiking/ exploring Cumbria.

What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies?

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone! (Book) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2 (movie).

If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, what would you do instead?

Own a cat café.

How do you show your school spirit?

By always having a smile on my face!

In which other teacher’s class would you like to enrol, even for a day? Why?

I would love to enrol in EYFS with the wonderful teachers over there, because I love having fun, singing and participating in creative activities.

What is the best thing about being a teacher?

Seeing that ‘lightbulb moment’ on pupil’s faces, and watch them proudly progress.
