An Interview With Miss Jameson

How long have you worked at Yanwath?

I started working at Yanwath in September 2023.

What are some pets you’ve had or would like to own?

I have a dog- a little Westie called Alfie. I also have a horse called Poppy.

How do you spend your summer breaks?

My summer breaks are spent delivering swimming lessons at Woggle Goggle Swimming school, lifeguarding at Askham swimming pool, riding my horse and spending time on the lake.

What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies?

Movies:

  • Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium
  • Beauty and the beast
  • Fast and furious

Books:

  • Alice’s adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
  • The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, what would you do instead?

Travel the world and learn how people in different cultures live.

In which other teacher’s class would you like to enrol, even for a day? Why?

Miss Henderson has created a wonderfully calm, yet engaging classroom environment with eye catching displays full of key facts and knowledge for each subject. I would love to be part of this class!

What is the best thing about being a teacher?

No day is ever the same, there is always something different to do, something new to teach or somewhere new to explore.

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

Never be afraid of failure, it’s what makes you stronger.
