An Interview With Mr Hook

How long have you worked at Yanwath?

This will be my 5th term so just over a year.

What are some pets you’ve had or would like to own?

I used to have a Dog and a Hamster as a child. We have fish at the moment. But I have always wanted a bearded dragon.

How do you spend your summer breaks?

City/country and seaside get aways

What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies

The Complete Survival Shelters Handbook

If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, what would you do instead?

I would probably end up getting a cottage out in the middle of no where and creating a self-sustaining farm to live on.

How do you show your school spirit?

I think anyone that knows me at Yanwath would probably say my bounce, enthusiasm and spark. Oh and the random singing.

In which other teacher’s class would you like to enrol, even for a day? Why?

I would probably say Miss Henderson’s for her energy and forward-thinking teaching methods.

What is the best thing about being a teacher?

The pure joy you see on a child’s face when they achieve something new.

If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?

You learn more from failure than success!
